Letter From One of the Ayeyarwady’s UGs to Ayeyarwady People

I wrote this for people from Ayeyarwady to know a glimpse of how the Ayeyarwady UGs are going through life.

Packed a little bit old backpack with just three or four pairs of outfits and started looking for place to take shelter by travelling around the region.

When we found a place to take shelter, we worried everything about the place of people who let us take shelter or household members, something might happen to them because of us.

Not related by blood, they accept amd look after us only with the spirit of not wanting the dictators, without thinking anything whether we are good people or bad people before and only with the thought of we are fighting for justice.

When we have to move another place from their home, some owners of the house we took shelter even put some money into our bags secretely to use for everything we need.( We even shed tears )

If we make it out alive, we would like to repay for the beneficence of all family members who took care of and looked after us like their own child even though we are not related by blood.

Like this, while we are struggling, we came to a thought and have a feeling deeper how much people hate the dictator. Not related by blood and also knowing they would be in danger, they still looked after us in everything for a while. We are sending love and pay homage to them everytime we go to bed.

Mostly, our people from Ayeyarwady have to keep quiet because they can’t afford it. But we come to know that blood is thicker than water when we experienced ourselves.

One day after the revolution win, I will write a long essay about how charming our Ayeyarwady people are. But now, the situation is not fine enough to write long essay, so here is just a little bit about how a UG within Ayeyarwady are going through life.
