Anna Delvey Says She Knows ‘A Thing Or Two About Deception’

Anna Delvey, notorious for her fraudulent and dishonest image as a wealthy heiress, shared her thoughts on the reality series Anonymous on social media.

The 33-year-old was fascinated by the competition show and told E. News that the series is “all about deception.”

She added, “I might know a thing or two about deception.” Ms. Delvey, formerly known as Anna Sorokin, served nearly four years in prison for grand larceny and theft of services, during which she defrauded thousands of dollars.

She worked to work her way up in high society and blend into the social elite by using invalid credit cards and scamming banks.

The series describes itself as a show in which every player “has their own private underground lair, where everyone is completely anonymous and can say anything under the mask of a unique name… In the lair, players get a raw, unfiltered view of the competitors. They scheme, plot and deceive to gain influence and advance in the game. This concept reflects the false lifestyle Anna once lived.” She advised the participants: “Don’t be afraid to embellish yourself or tell the truth… Believe me, I never lie.”

Since her release, Anna has been under house arrest and has been reflecting on her past actions. In an interview with The New York Times, she said: “I learned so much in prison. It’s very well documented how I felt about everything… I regret how things turned out. I tried to look at my experiences in a way that I learned from them. I am who I am today because of the decisions I made in the past.”

She added: “I perform better under pressure. So many people can’t wait to see me do something crazy or illegal and go back to prison. I don’t want to give them that satisfaction.” Now, Anna has her life back on track and is the podcast host of “The Anna Delvey Show.” In 2023, she also released her own song, “What the Hell,” featuring artists Brooke Butler and Audio Chateau.
